These Terms govern your use of the Civic App website and services ("Services"). By creating an account or using the Services you agree to these Terms.
You must be at least 16 (or the minimum age in your region) to use the Services. You are responsible for your account, credentials, and all activity under it.
You retain ownership of content you post (proposals, comments, images). You grant Civic App a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content in connection with the Services. You confirm you have rights to what you upload.
Comments and proposals are not hidden or removed by moderators or admins. Removals occur only when we receive a valid legal request (e.g., court order) or when content violates applicable law (e.g., child sexual abuse material). In such cases we show a public tombstone ("Removed due to legal request") with date and reason.
Civic App facilitates community proposals, donations, and volunteer coordination. We are not a financial institution or charity; third-party payment processors (e.g., PayPal) handle transactions. Allocations follow published rules. Volunteer rewards in CC are issued only after a proposal is marked Completed and both organizer and volunteer confirm hours.
Use the Services lawfully and respectfully (see Community Guidelines). No spam, fraud, doxxing, illegal content, or security abuse.
Information on Civic App is for civic engagement only; it is not legal, financial, medical, or professional advice.
We may update features or these Terms. Material changes will be announced. We may suspend access to protect security or comply with law.
Services are provided "as is." To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of USD $100 or amounts you paid to us in the 12 months prior to the claim.
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for legal compliance, security, or severe violations of these Terms. Past comments remain visible with an author tombstone if you delete them.
